Cafe Reyes and Exploring Point Reyes

We took a break from all the oysters and ordered a pizza and salad from Cafe Reyes to go for dinner for our last night in Point Reyes. I originally had reservations at Osteria Stellina but after a day of exploring Point Reyes and Inverness, we didn't feel like a formal sit-down meal so we decided to chill and eat at the cottage. We had grand plans to hike Inverness all day but it was overcast and chilly, even though it was beautiful and sunny in Point Reyes across the bay. Cafe Reyes is a casual friendly place with some really good local beers on tap, which we tried while waiting for our pizza. The pepperoni pizza was quite good although a little small, with excellent char from the wood-fired oven. We opened a bottle of 2005 Chateau D'Aiguilhe Cotes du Castillon Bordeaux that went perfectly with the pizza and had a relaxing meal out on the deck of the cottage watching the sunset, the perfect end to a lovely getaway.
